Orcas Island is one of the San Juan Islands located in Washington State's famous Puget Sound. It is on the Washington State Ferry route and can be reached via either the Anacortes terminal on the Washington State side, or the Sidney terminal on the Canadian side of the Sound. If driving from Seattle, take I-5 north approximately 60 miles to exit 230 just north of Mt. Vernon. Travel west to Anacortes, following the signs to the San Juan Ferries. Call (888) 808-7977 or visit www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries for current ferry information. The ferries are very busy in the summer so be sure to plan on being in line well before the scheduled departure time. Orcas Island is also served by several commuter airlines. Call Kenmore Air at (800) 543-9595 or West Isle Air at (800) 874-4434 for schedule information.
From anywhere on Orcas you can reach your lodgings at Foxglove Cottage by following the signs to Deer Harbor, located on the south west tip of the island. The cottage is just south of the Deer Harbor Marina on the water side of the road.
